Job summary

We Care Staffing Solutions is seeking casual home care workers to support clients in Cessnock, Rutherford and surrounding suburbs. You will visit clients at their homes for 30 minutes to 2.5 hours per shift, performing domestic tasks and basic personal care.

Ideal candidates have Cert III in IS (Disability), experience in disability or aged care, current First Aid/ CPR, and WWCC. Flexible availability across weekdays and weekends is preferred, with reliability being essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.
• Experience in Disability, Aged Care or Community Services preferred.
• Current First Aid/ CPR and Manual Handling.
• WWCC/Police Check and NDIS Screening desirable.

About the Role:

This is an ideal role for those wanting a little extra income or side hustle and helping the community out at the same time. You will be working regularly with 1-3 clients, in their homes, from 30min to 2.5hrs per visit, providing domestic assistance, completing duties such as:

Meal preparation (not complete food service)

Vacuuming and Mopping

Light house cleaning

Dishwashing

Clothes and linen, washing and ironing

Bed making.

Internal window cleaning

Unaccompanied shopping& bill paying

Clients like routine and get comfort out of seeing the same people at the same time, so you will be assigned specific clients, and providing the services at the same time either on a weekly or fortnightly rotation. Reliability is KEY.

Clients prefer their services between the hours of 8:30am - 7:00pm Monday to Sunday, so the successful applicant must be available to pick up shifts during those hours. For flexibility, you must be available at least two to three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide In home respite service and personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)

Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation

About You:

Minimum Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent

Experienced in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support or Community Services

Current First Aid / CPR and Manual Handling

Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

NDIS Screening Check

Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Driver's license and reliable vehicle (preferred)
