Job summary

CareSouth is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide one-to-one support to young people and adults across NSW. The role involves assisting with daily tasks, personal care, and participation in social activities under individualised care plans.

You will liaise with families and care professionals, ensuring a therapeutic and supportive environment while upholding safety and dignity across shifts, including weekends and sleepovers.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Residential Care or related areas.
• Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent.
• Ability to engage with people with disability in a therapeutic model.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to young people and adults 24/7.
• Assist with general household duties, meal preparation, and personal care.
• Support participants based on care plans, including social activities, transport, and mobility.
• Liaise with families, therapists, and case managers to follow clinical plans.
