CareSouth in New South Wales is seeking a Casual Disability Support Worker to provide individualized, around-the-clock support for young people and adults. You will help with daily tasks, personal care and activities, while following care plans and coordinating with families, therapists and case managers.

The role emphasizes a therapeutic approach, teamwork, and flexible rosters including weekends and evenings.

Formación

• Understanding of or experience in implementing therapeutic interventions and behaviour management strategies.
• Ability to engage with people living with disability in a nurturing environment under a therapeutic model.
• Initiative and drive to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clear and effective communication, and cooperation with others.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individualized support for young people and adults 24 hours a day.
• Assist with general household duties, meal preparation and personal care as required.
• Implement participants’ care plans, including social activities, transport and mobility.
• Liaise with families, therapists and case managers to support goals.
