Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Manual Handling training and practical experience.
• Experience supporting people with behaviours of concern.
• Comfortable working with children.

Responsibilities

• Personal care, including toileting and showering assistance.
• Meal preparation, cooking and cleaning.
• Community access and engagement.
• Manual handling and mobility support.
• Medication assistance.
• Supporting daily routines and activities.
• Providing emotional and social support.
• Following individual care plans and support strategies.
• Supporting clients with behaviours of concern in a calm, professional and person-centred manner.
