Job summary

Claro Disability Services in Marsfield, NSW, seeks a compassionate Disability Support Worker for casual shifts. You will provide person-centered care, assist with mobility, daily tasks, and medical plans, and help clients engage in community activities.

You will collaborate with families and health professionals, uphold consent and independence, and apply cultural humility in diverse settings. A Driver’s Licence and NDIS clearance are preferred; you’ll join a supportive team delivering quality

Qualifications

• Driver’s License, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
• At least one year’s experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• NDIS Clearance, First Aid (3 yrs), CPR (12 months) & National police clearance - or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), understand goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices as outlined in the plan.
• Medical support: Monitor changes, follow med/clinical plans, liaise with care team when needed.
• Social time and participation: Facilitate meaningful activities and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making and independence while respecting consent.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being.
