Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking casual Disability Support Workers to assist clients in Rockhampton, delivering personal care, daily living activities, and community participation across shared housing or private homes. You will cover a 24/7 roster, including weekends and sleepover/short shifts.

Successful applicants will undertake pre-employment checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check, Blue Card, and NDIS Worker Screening. A current First Aid and CPR certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with people with disability.
• Experience with complex support needs and behaviours of concern.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

About the Role

Do you have a green thumb? If so, this could be the perfect role for you. Our clients enjoy gardening and spending time outdoors, and we are looking for passionate, proactive Disability Support Workers to provide active support in their day-to-day lives.

We have casual opportunities available to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Lifestyles teams in Rockhampton. In this role, you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own homes, assisting with a range of supports including personal care, daily living activities, community access, and participation in outdoor and recreational activities.

You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends, sleepover shifts, short shifts, and split shifts.
