Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Mackay is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support in community and SIL settings. Roles are casual, with shifts out in the community and occasional SIL work, ensuring clients maintain independence and participate in daily life.

About the roles

Provide active support to people with disability in Mackay across Lifestyle and Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings. Most shifts will involve supporting clients one-on-one out in the community, with occasional SIL shifts available. The people we support are unique, with individual needs, preferences, and goals, and we are looking for passionate support workers who are proactive in supporting them in their day-to-day lives, helping create meaningful moments.

This position is for someone who is patient, compassionate, and committed to providing person-centred support. You will support people with disability to develop and maintain their independence, participate in their communities and achieve their individual goals. Safety is a key priority, and applicants must be able to follow procedures and support plans.

Casual opportunities are available, and hours will generally range from approximately 10 to 30 hours per week.
