Job summary

Ellie Jane Support Services in Ipswich is seeking compassionate, flexible, and reliable support workers to assist people with disability and mental health challenges. บ leid to join our passionate Ipswich-based team, offering shifts across day, evening and night hours.

The role focuses on personal care, daily routines, transport, and social support. This casual position requires valid checks, a current driver’s license, and 15+ hours weekly availability.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) and Blue Card are required.
• Current Police Check.
• Open Driver's Licence with own vehicle and full insurance.
• Valid First Aid and CPR.
• Solid availability across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleepovers.
• Minimum 15 hours regular weekly availability.
• Previous experience in a similar role and 6 months disability support experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care, and mealtime support.
• Assist with household tasks and daily routines.
• Offer social and emotional support.
• Promote independence in the home and community.
• Transport participants to appointments, activities, and events.
• Deliver therapy supports as guided by allied health professionals.
• Contribute to regular review and updates of support plans.

We're currently seeking compassionate, flexible, and reliable support workers who know how to get the job done and genuinely care about the people they support.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care, and mealtime support

• Assist with household tasks and daily routines

• Offer social and emotional support

• Promote independence in the home and community

• Transport participants to appointments, activities, and events

• Deliver therapy supports as guided by allied health professionals

• Contribute to regular review and updates of support plans

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) and Blue Card

• Current Police Check

• Open Driver's Licence & own reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance

• Valid First Aid and CPR

• Solid availability, especially across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleepovers

• Minimum 15 hours regular weekly availability required

• Previous experience in a similar role

• Minimum 6 months or less of disability support experience required

Desirable:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care) or relevant studies

• Experience supporting people with autism, physical disabilities or mental health conditions

• Experience in person-centred active support environments

This is a casual position with varied shift availability across a 24/7 roster. While we can't guarantee fixed hours, we do our best to match you with the right participants to support consistent weekly shifts. Please note, those with very limited availability may not be suitable for these roles.
