Job summary

Endeavour Foundation in Bundaberg is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our brand-new SIL homes in Svensson Heights. You will assist residents with personal care, activities of daily living, and support for individuals with complex behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies and redirection techniques.

We offer master rosters with set fortnights (40–50 hours per fortnight), including Overnight Sleepover shifts and every 2nd weekend.

Qualifications

• Experience in SIL environments or supporting people with complex behaviours is valued.
• Availability to roster overnights and commit to master rosters with set shifts.
• Willingness to obtain required checks (Blue Card, Yellow Card) and First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Support residents in SIL homes with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with mobility and complex behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
• Participate in rosters including overnight shifts and every 2nd weekend.

About this role:

We are seeking experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers with excellent availability to join our dedicated brand new SIL HOMES due to open soon based in Bundaberg, Svensson Heights.

Support people with disabilities in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes, providing personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, and support for individuals with complex behaviours through positive behaviour support strategies and redirection techniques.

We are offering Master Rosters with set fortnightly schedules for work life balance, of permanent part-time hours between 40-50 hours per fortnight including Overnight Sleepover Shifts and every 2nd weekend (Extra shifts available on request). We will provide onsite buddy shift training and advanced rosters for you to plan around your life commitments and schedules.

To be successful:

• Previous experience working in a SIL environment or supporting people with complex behaviours, personal care and manual handling (hoisting) for disabilities will be highly regarded.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability or aged care) highly regarded but not essential
• Available to be rostered for overnights shifts in a row and a flexible to commit to master rosters with set shifts
• You will be reliable and patient person, that is passionate about their work

You will be required to hold or willing to obtain:

• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
• First Aid, & CPR
• National Criminal History Check
• Australian open Driver's License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
