Our Family Respite Pty Ltd in Killarney Vale, NSW, seeks a compassionate Disability Support Worker to assist an 18-year-old male with social, health and independence goals through regular community-based supports. The role is part-time with two 3-hour shifts per week, offering active community engagement and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with disability
• Experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern
• Understanding of mental health challenges
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Current Driver's Licence
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Excellent spoken English and communication skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with participants, families and the OFR team

Responsibilities

• Support the participant during 2 x 3-hour shifts weekly in community settings
• Assist with social activities and health/independence goals
• Encourage community participation and daily living skills
• Maintain professional boundaries and safety during shifts
• Communicate effectively with the participant, families and OFR team
