Job summary

365 Care in Blackheath is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to support one client in Blackheath. You’ll bring your experience with Acquired Brain Injuries, schizophrenia, and supporting Monday to Friday. In this role you’ll be assertive and calm under pressure while encouraging independence and engagement.

A strong listener who prompts independence, you’ll help the client live an independent and fulfilling life, with transport, community activities, and light home duties as needed.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC.
• First Aid and CPR.
• Valid driver’s license and your own reliable, insured car.
• Willingness to complete all client-specific training before you begin (we’ll guide you through it).

Responsibilities

• Engage with the client to support daily living and independence.
• Provide transport and mobility assistance.
• Assist with light household tasks and medication management as required.
• Facilitate community activities and engagement.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to support one of our clients in Blackheath.

You'll bring your experience and knowledge in Acquired Brain Injuries, schizophrenia & supporting Monday to Friday.

In this role, you’ll need to be assertive and calm under pressure, while also being encouraging and understanding. A strong listener who is able to prompt and promote independence and engagement, you’ll be a key part of helping them live an independent and fulfilling life.

No two days are the same! Your support might look like:

• Getting out into the community to do activities the clients enjoy
• Providing transport and mobility assistance
• Helping out with a few light cleaning jobs around the home when needed
• Assist with medication management
