Job summary

Care Bound is a specialist disability support day program provider based in Seven Hills, Western Sydney, seeking experienced Female Disability Support Workers to join our team. You will assist participants with daily living, community participation and life skills in a structured, calm environment.

Role requires handling personal care, including swimming and bathroom support for some participants, with a genuine occupational requirement in line with anti-discrimination laws.

Qualifications

• You are calm, emotionally steady, and able to support participants with consistency, patience and respect.
• You communicate clearly, work well independently and in a team, and manage complex behaviours in a structured environment.
• You understand routine, safety and respectful support when working with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred disability support tailored to each participant's needs and support plan.
• Support daily living activities (ADLs) with dignity including personal care, meals and hygiene.
• Apply structured Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies consistently.
• Implement choice and control frameworks to promote independence.
• Use proactive and reactive behaviour management and de-escalation as required.
• Facilitate community participation, social engagement and life skills development in real-world settings.
• Provide participant transport including pick-up and drop-off from homes, schools and venues.
• Maintain accurate progress notes, documentation and incident reports.
• Work collaboratively with families, therapists, support coordinators and the Care Bound team.
