The ideal candidate will have prior disability support experience, strong communication skills, and a caring, patient approach. You will work within an NDA framework, follow plans, and collaborate with family and professionals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in disability support, aged care, mental health, or related sector.
• Experience supporting clients with complex support needs is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, patient, and compassionate approach.
• Ability to follow support plans and policy directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to a participant with complex needs.
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities, meal prep, and household tasks.
• Support community access, social activities, and engagement.
• Provide emotional support and build a positive relationship with the participant.
• Follow individualised support plans and behaviour strategies where required.
• Maintain dignity, privacy, safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Complete shift notes, incident reports, and required documentation.
• Collaborate with family, support team, and other professionals.
