Job summary

Greystanes Disability Services – Wentworth Falls NSW is seeking High-Intensity Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis, with potential progression to permanent part-time for the right candidate.

You will provide person-centred active support to individuals with high-intensity needs, helping them achieve personal goals and greater independence within the community.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care tasks such as showering and dressing.
• Providing support during health visits, social and recreational activities.
• Advocating for people with disability and documenting progress.
• Maintaining records and adhering to policies and safety standards.
• Completing NDIS Worker Check, orientation modules and other checks.
• Holding a valid driver’s licence for Access Vehicle duties and driving as needed.
• Working across a 7-day roster, including public holidays.

About the role
Greystanes Disability Services (GDS) is seeking High-Intensity Disability Support Workers to join our team based in Wentworth Falls, NSW on a casual basis, leading to permanent part-time if you are the right fit. In this role, you will provide person-centred active support to individuals with a disability and high-intensity needs, helping them achieve their personal goals and live with greater independence and inclusion within the community.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with personal care tasks, such as showering, dressing, and meal preparation

Providing support during health visits, social and recreational activities

Advocating for people with disability

Documenting the person with disability's progress and maintaining accurate records

Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety standards

NDIS Workers Check and Orientation Modules must be completed before starting work;

Right to Work in Australia;

Workers with Children Check;

A current First Aid certificate;

Valid driver's licence (Green P's to Full Licence) with the ability to drive Access Vehicles;

Ability to work varied shifts that are over a 7-day/24-hour roster, including public holidays; and most importantly

Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of those you support.

Previous high-intensity support work in a complex case needs;

Ability to provide physical and personal care support;

A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification; and

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust in a team environment.
