Job summary

Greenacres Disability Services – Wollongong NSW is seeking an energetic Casual Level 3 Disability Support Worker to provide high-intensity, individualized support to one participant. The role requires adherence to detailed support plans, including personal care, mealtime management and engaging activities.

You will work autonomously, with walking as a core part of the program (up to 10,000 steps per shift), and typically rostered for one shift per week with potential additional coverage as

• First Aid Certificate must be current.
• National Police Check required.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You completion required.
• NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) required.
• Right to Work in Australia confirmed.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured, individualised support to a single participant.
• Follow detailed support plans and protocols.
• Assist with personal care and mealtime management.
• Lead arts-based activities and mobility tasks (walking up to 10,000 steps per shift).
• Work autonomously and be available for backup coverage as needed.

About The Role Casual Level 3 Disability Support Worker:

We are seeking an energetic and physically active Disability Support Worker to join our team.

You will work autonomously with one participant, providing structured and individualised support. The role requires consistent adherence to the participant’s support plans and protocols, including personal care, mealtime management and arts-based activities.

The participant’s program includes extensive walking, so you must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including walking up to 10,000 steps during a shift.

We currently have one permanent part-time employees supporting the participant and are seeking a second team member. You will typically be rostered for one shift each week and may be offered additional shifts to cover planned and unplanned leave.

About You:

Is enthusiastic and passionate about supporting people with disability to achieve their goals

Can tailor their approach to the participant’s individual needs and preferences

Is reliable, accountable and responsive

Is comfortable working autonomously and following detailed support plans and protocols

Can meet the physical requirements of the role, including walking up to 10,000 steps during a shift

Is available to provide backup support for both planned and unplanned leave
