Job summary

Only Care is seeking enthusiastic care staff to support people with disabilities in Sydney. Applicants should have their own vehicle and a valid NSW driver's licence. Flexible shifts and regular client assignments across Sydney make this a great entry into compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with disabilities.
• Experience using patient hoists or lifting equipment for care.
• Experience assisting clients with bathing, both in bed and in the bathroom.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and suctioning.
• Experience assisting clients with feeding through gastrostomy tubes or orally, particularly clients with swallowing difficulties.
• Applicants who have received professional education or training overseas as nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists or similar healthcare professionals, and have practical experience, are welcome.
• A functional level of English sufficient to perform the duties is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to clients with disabilities.
• Operate patient hoists and lifting equipment.
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene.
• Support clients with tracheostomy care and suctioning.
• Assist with feeding for clients with swallowing difficulties.
