Job summary

Scope is seeking two Support Workers experienced in psychosocial disability and complex mental health to join our Supported Independent Living sites in NSW. Permanent part‑time and casual roles available, with rates from $36.22–$45.28 per hour and salary packaging benefits.

You will empower clients to build daily routines, while following care plans and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Regular access to a car and a P2 NSW Drivers Licence or higher.
• Flexible availability across a 24/7 roster, including mornings, afternoons and sleepovers.
• Commitment to every shift on the rostered line.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with complex mental health and psychosocial disabilities in an independent living model.
• Follow BIS and care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site manager.
• Encourage capacity building in days‑to‑day skills and community access.
• Provide personal care as required.
• Be a reliable, proactive team player delivering consistent, high‑quality support.
• Promote choice and control in clients’ daily routines, goals and interests.
• Use computer systems and complete reporting accurately within timeframes.

This is a male-dominated SIL that supports clients with a forensic background and complex mental health. We are looking for two Support Workers experienced in psychosocial disability and complex mental health support, resilient, person‑centered, and confident in empowering individuals to build positive habits and daily routines. I have two permanent part-time lines and one casual position at one of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) sites.

Please note: You must be able to commit to every shift on one of the above fortnightly rostered line to be considered for the position.

Your role

• Support adults with complex mental health and psychosocial disabilities in an independent living model.
• Rigorously follow BIS and care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site manager to best support complex behaviours.
• Encourage capacity building to enhance clients’ current skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport and accessing the community safely.
• Provide personal care as and when required.
• To be reliable and proactive team players who works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support to participants.
• Proudly promote choice and control and show eagerness to participate in clients’ day to day routines, goals, and interests.
• Confidently use computer-based systems and able to complete clear, accurate, and detailed reporting within required timeframes.

We are aware there are quite a few compliance checks (listed below) for this role however, what’s important to us is that you have regular access to your own car and a P2 NSW Drivers License or higher and flexible availability across a 24/7 roster which may include, mornings, afternoons, and sleepover shifts.
