Job summary

Scope is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to assist participants across Mittagong, Bowral and Moss Vale Day Program. You will provide person-centred support, including personal care, mealtime assistance, and mobility support, with accurate reporting within team guidelines.

Applicants must be prepared for a rotating 24/7 roster, have reliable transport and NSW Driver Licence. NDIs Worker screening and other checks may apply, with commitment to safety and dignity.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting people with complex disabilities and mental health needs.
  • Comfortable with personal care and high-care tasks.
  • Able to work across three services and rotating 24/7 roster.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support including personal care and mealtime assistance.
  • Assist with mobility and daily living activities and monitor participant wellbeing.
  • Accurately report and document in required systems and maintain participant dignity.

At Scope We Celebrate People!

Mittagong and Bowral are home to two Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, supporting people with complex psychosocial and physical disabilities.

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to participants with complex mental health and physical support needs, including personal care, mealtime support, and specialised equipment. The role suits confident and compassionate individuals committed to promoting independence and positive outcomes for both male and female participants, including those who may present with behaviours of concern.

In addition to the SIL homes, support may also be required at our Moss Vale Day Program, which operates Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:30pm. The Day Program focuses on skill development, community participation, social engagement, and helping participants achieve their individual goals.

Please note: To meet the needs of our participants, successful applicants must be willing and able to work across all three services, including our SIL homes in Mittagong and Bowral, and our Moss Vale Day Program.

This role is suited to people who:
  • Proudly promote choice and control and show eagerness to participate in our clients’ day to day routines, hobbies, and interests.
  • Are comfortable adhering to NDIS are plan as directed by clinical teams and Site Managers.
  • Provide extensive personal care and high care supports, including showering, toileting, continence management, hoist transfers, dressing, and mealtime assistance, while maintaining participant dignity, choice, and respect.
  • Are reliable and proactive team players who works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support to participants.
  • Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering consistent, safe, person-centred support in physically demanding environments.
  • Confidently use computer-based systems and able to complete clear, accurate, and detailed reporting within required timeframes.
Some of our requirements:

While there are a number of compliance requirements for this role, we're primarily looking for people with reliable transport, a NSW P2 Driver Licence or higher, and the flexibility to work a rotating 24/7 roster that may include mornings, afternoons, split shifts, and sleepovers.
