Job summary

Multicap in Bli Bli, QLD, is hiring Disability Support Workers (Casual and Permanent Part-Time) to provide person-centred support. You will assist with daily living activities, health-related supports, and community participation, with shifts across mornings, afternoons, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays.

Requirements include a valid P2 driver licence, First Aid/CPR, NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card), and Blue Card.

Qualifications

• Experience with PBS plans and complex behaviours is highly regarded.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex medical or health needs is desirable.
• Experience in SIL and/or Community Access environments is desirable.
• Experience using mobility aids and manual handling equipment, including hoists, is desirable.
• Ability to document accurately and complete administrative tasks.

Job description

Join our Bli Bli team and support people with disability across Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Community Access Support (CAS). We are recruiting both Casual and Permanent Part-Time Disability Support Workers. In this role, you'll provide person-centred support with daily living activities, community participation, and health-related supports. The customers supported in this service may present with complex behaviours, require implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, and use mobility equipment. Shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays, with start and finish times based on customer needs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing personal care and support with daily living activities
• Assisting with medication administration and monitoring health needs
• Supporting customers using mobility aids, including hoists and wheelchairs
• Encouraging community participation and community access activities
• Maintaining accurate documentation and completing administrative tasks

Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting people with complex behaviours and implementing PBS plans (highly regarded)
• Experience supporting individuals with complex medical or health needs (desirable)
• Experience supporting customers within SIL and/or Community Access environments (desirable)
• Experience using mobility aids and manual handling equipment, including hoists (desirable)
• Ability to complete documentation and administrative tasks accurately
