Job summary

AHS Nursing Agency in Sydney region is seeking a caring female Disability Support Worker to join our Oran Park team. You will support a female adult, help with community outings, appointments, shopping, and daily activities, and promote independence through person-centred care.

We are seeking a caring and energetic female support worker to join our team in Oran Park, NSW, 2570.

About The Role

• Supporting a female adult.
• Supporting safe access to the community.
• Assisting with attending appointments.
• Supporting shopping and daily activities.
• Encouraging and maintaining routine health and wellbeing.
• Providing person-centred support that promotes independence and choice.

About You

• Female carer (participant preference).
• Must drive with a full Australian driver's licence and own car with comprehensive car insurance.
• Experience with schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder (BPD).
• Experience supporting people with complex or challenging behaviours.
• Calm, patient, and professional approach at all times.
• Strong communication skills and good spoken and written English.
• Ability to follow support plans.

Shifts Available (Ongoing)

• Thursday 10am-2pm.
• Saturday 10am-1pm.

Additional shifts may be available in the future, subject to needs and roster availability.

What We’re Looking For

• NDIS Workers Screening Check.
