Job summary

Australian Society Care in Ballarat Region is seeking a female support worker to assist a participant on-site. You will help with mobility, including wheelchair transfers, and ensure safe, compassionate, person-centered care in daily activities.

Join a team focused on complex mental health support, MS-related care, and goal-oriented outcomes; you will document shift notes and follow the participant's plan to support confidence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience essential, with SIL high-intensity participants.
• Experience with complex mental health issues.
• Experience with MS is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to a Female Participant.
• Must have experience with Complex mental Health issues.
• Must be experienced with MS.
• Support the participant in and out of her wheelchair so manual handling is mandatory.
• Manual Handling required.
• Provide a calm approach to challenging situations with the participant.
• Support the participant with key Behaviour Strategies.
• Support the participant in feeling confident.
• Work as part of a team.
• Record adequate goal-oriented shift notes.
• Liaise with the team leader to ensure the care of the participant is goal-oriented and meets the key elements of the support plan.
