Job summary

DSW Disability Services – Lake Heights NSW is seeking a reliable support worker to assist a gentleman at home and in the community. Primary shifts are 8:30am to 3:30pm, with additional afternoon and overnight shifts available seven days a week.

This role requires experience with hoisting, transfers and manual handling, plus bowel care for high-need clients. A current driver’s licence and an NDIS workers check are essential; a Cert 3 in disability or equivalent or proven relevant experience is

Responsibilities

• Hoisting, transfers and manual handling of a participant at home and in the community.
• Support with complex pain management and general daily living tasks.
• Community access, including loading a wheelchair into a van.
• Standard in-home duties as part of ongoing care.

• Supporting complex pain management
• Community access, including loading a wheelchair into a van
• Standard in home duties

About you

• Female only role
• Experience with hoisting, transfers and manual handling (essential)
• Experience with bowel care and supporting people with high physical needs
• Clear English and strong communication skills
• Reliable and dependable. Consistency matters enormously in this role.
• Current driver's licence and NDIS workers check
• Cert 3 in disability or equivalent or reasonable proof of experience in the area
