Job summary

Oyster Care Pty is hiring Disability Support Workers to provide day-to-day care for Participants with physical disabilities and/or mental illness in home and community settings in Sydney. You will help Participants reach their goals, record data accurately, and apply de-escalation techniques as needed.

The role offers a rotating roster with weekend work and stable hours, with shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays and similar hours on weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have some form of experience in Disability, Mental Health, or Aged Care.
• Excellent work ethic, strong oral and written communication skills.
• Empathetic and person-centered approach when supporting Participants in home or community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care for Participants with physical disabilities and/or mental illness.
• Assist Participants in achieving individual goals and maintaining stability.
• Record data accurately and complete forms.
• Apply de-escalation techniques for heightened behaviours.

Skills

NDIS support experience
