Job summary

Wesley Mission Queensland is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) team. You will provide personal care and daily living support to residents, helping them build independence in everyday life.

Led by Registered Nurses, you will support a person-centred approach across Tewantin and Maroochydore locations, with shifts that include weekdays and weekends. A Certificate III in Disability or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence with full comprehensive motor vehicle insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Ability to work across Tewantin and Maroochydore locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Probity checks.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support (meals, hygiene, household tasks).
• Support individuals to build independence and life skills.
• Assist with community access and participation.
• Work collaboratively with a team to deliver active supports and person-centred care.
• Lead by Nursing staff to ensure safe, respectful care.
