Job summary

VMCH is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join the Where Is My Coffee Job Skills Program. You will move between placements, mainly in aged care and retirement living, coaching participants in hospitality, resident service and practical tasks. Some placements include café work and on‑the‑job teaching.

This casual role covers multiple sites (Kew, Ashwood, Mulgrave, Nunawading) and requires ability to work across locations with a person‑centred approach.

Qualifications

• Disability support or coaching experience with patience and respect for learning needs.
• Hospitality or resident service experience and a practical teaching approach.
• Clear communication and reliable record keeping; ability to travel between four sites.

Responsibilities

• Coach participants to build confidence, independence, and workplace routines.
• Support residents and customers at multiple sites (Kew, Clayton, Ashwood, Nunawading)
• Record attendance and progress; follow VMCH safety and quality procedures.
