ADACAS, the ACT Disability, Aged and Carer Advocacy Service, is seeking a passionate Disability Advocate to join the NSW team in Batemans Bay. You will provide information, education and individual advocacy to people with disability across three programs, supporting rights and navigating NSW services.

You will work within a supportive, values-driven team, with professional development and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability advocacy or related community services.
• Ability to navigate complex systems and advocate for rights.
• Knowledge of NDIS, NSW services or South Coast networks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, support and individual advocacy guided by clients’ views and rights.
• Assist clients to understand rights and options across disability, NDIS and NSW services.
• Support clients to self-advocate and advocate on their behalf when needed.
• Deliver rights-based education and community information sessions.
• Develop relationships with disability, health, housing and community partners.
• Maintain accurate case records in Salesforce.
• Identify barriers to inform service improvement.
