Job summary

Anglicare NSW South, NSW West & ACT is seeking a compassionate disability support worker to assist with daily living activities and community participation in Batemans Bay, NSW. You will help create safe environments where participants can thrive and achieve their goals alongside a dedicated team.

This role requires a Certificate III in Individual Support (or willing to study), at least two years’ experience, a valid driver license, and First Aid/CPR plus NDIS screening.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or relevant experience with willingness to study.
• Minimum of two years’ experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
• First Aid, CPR Certificate and NDIS worker screening.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and encouraging participation in daily living activities.
• Encouraging participation in community activities and fostering social connections, providing companionship and emotional support.
• Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.

You’ll assist with daily living, community participation, and innovative programs designed to enhance wellbeing, while supporting individuals with diverse needs. Working as part of a dedicated team, you’ll help create safe, environments where participants can thrive and achieve their goals.

What you will be doing

• Assisting and encouraging participation in daily living activities.
• Encouraging participation in community activities and fostering social connections through providing companionship and emotional support, promoting independence, choice and control.
• Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
• Working with single and/or multiple participant to facilitate choice and control over their goals.
• Supporting participant through transport, companionship and mobility.

Skills and experience

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant experience with willingness to study)
• Minimum of two years’ experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
• A compassionate, flexible, and empathetic attitude.
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Office, MS Teams and Client care apps.
• Current Driver License and a reliable, registered, comprehensively insured vehicle.
• First Aid, CPR Certificate and NDIS worker screening.
