Job summary

Mindset Intervention Pty Ltd is recruiting a Disability and Mental Health Support Worker for a casual role in Brisbane, with potential to move to full-time. You will provide community-based and in-home support aligned with NDIS goals, including personal care, domestic tasks, budgeting and transport to activities.

With a rate of $38–$46 per hour, successful candidates will have a current Australian Driver Licence, a valid First Aid/CPR, NDIS checks and a Certificate III in Disability or Mental

• COVID-19 Infection Control Training (or willingness to obtain).
• COVID-19 Aged Care PPE Module 5 (or willingness to obtain).
• Paid Blue Card (if required).
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Certificate III in Disability or Mental Health (or willingness to obtain).
• Smartphone with data access.
• Flexible availability (including weekends and evenings).
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised, community-based and in-home support aligned with each participant’s NDIS goals.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Provide domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, etc.).
• Support with budgeting, shopping and meal preparation.
• Assist participants to attend appointments and community activities.
• Implement behaviour support plans and work toward participant goals.
• Transport participants safely to and from activities.
• Complete session reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Adhere to organisational policies and procedures.
• Participate in sleepover shifts as required.

Due to continued organisational growth, we are seeking dedicated and experienced Disability and Mental Health Support Workers to join our expanding team. This role offers approximately 25+ hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time employment.

The Role

As a Support Worker with Mindset Intervention, you will provide individualised, community-based and in-home support aligned with each participant’s NDIS goals. Duties include (but are not limited to):

Assisting with personal care and hygiene

Domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, etc.)

Everyday tasks such as budgeting, shopping, and meal preparation

Supporting participants to attend appointments and community activities

Implementing behaviour support plans and working toward participant goals

Transporting participants safely to and from activities
