Job summary

North Geelong Secondary College in Geelong is seeking leading teachers to undertake leadership and management roles aligned with the school’s priorities. Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the curriculum and ability to lead the implementation of school priorities.
• Lead planning and implementation of high impact teaching strategies and evaluate their impact on student growth.
• Monitor, assess and use data to drive school improvement initiatives and communicate progress.
• Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills for collaboration with students, staff, parents and community.
• Model department values and lead whole-school professional learning.
• Lead inclusive practices and inclusive reforms to support targeted interventions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole-school improvement initiatives aligned to the school strategic plan.
• Coordinate curriculum planning and effective delivery across year levels.
• Oversee professional development and staff development plans within school priorities.
• Guide staff performance reviews, coaching and demonstration lessons.
• Develop and review school assessment and reporting policies and practices.
• Steer student welfare, discipline policies and school operations.
• Contribute to curriculum development and broader school leadership.
• Support school council proposals and development of the school code of conduct.
• Champion Disability Inclusion and multi-disciplinary collaboration within the school.
