Job summary

Achieve Australia is seeking a dedicated Assistant in Nursing to provide person-centred support to people with a disability in a group home setting. You will assist clients to set goals and participate in activities, ensuring safety and dignity in daily living.

Applicants should have a minimum Cert III in Disability or Individual Support and demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. A NSW driver's licence for client transport is preferred and supported by the organisation.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Disability or Individual Support is required (minimum).
• Strong interpersonal, role modelling and customer service skills are essential.
• Understanding of NDIS, Code of Conduct and Workplace Health and Safety is required.
• Ability to transport clients in Achieve Australia vehicles with NSW driver's licence; risk assessment if not current.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, quality support to people with a disability in a group home setting.
• Assist with personal care (grooming, toileting, meals, mobility) and daily living activities.
• Support clients to participate in community activities and use transport including Achieve Australia vehicles.
• Complete client documentation and update our client management system and records.
• Advocate for clients and engage with families and significant people in their lives.
