Job summary

CQ Home Care in Central Queensland is seeking an experienced Support Worker to provide disability and aged care support across Rockhampton, Gracemere, Yeppoon and Emu Park. You will support individual care plans, build positive relationships with customers, and assist with intellectual disability and high physical support needs, on a 24/7 roster with travel between towns.

The role requires a Certificate 3 in aged care or related field, a valid driver licence, willingness to obtain checks, and

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in aged care, individual support, or allied health
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting individual customer needs
• Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with customers
• Experience supporting customers with intellectual disability, high physical support needs and medical/health needs
• Flexibility to work on a 24/7 roster
• Current Driver's Licence and comprehensive car insurance
• Willing to obtain Working With Children Check
• Willing to obtain NDIS Worker Check
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
• Current Police check or willingness to obtain
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support and promote the individual needs of customers
• Develop positive relationships with customers
• Support customers' individual care plans, including goals
• Support customers with intellectual disability, high physical support needs and medical/health needs
• Work on a 24/7 roster across morning, afternoon and active night shifts, including weekend and public holiday shifts
• Travel between Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Emu Park and Gracemere
