Job summary

Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is seeking a Director - Workforce in Brisbane to lead the evolution of operational HR services from foundational to high-performing. You will design workforce strategies, advise senior leaders on trends and risks, and collaborate across the agency to deliver governance, recruitment, payroll and reporting functions.

The role requires leading a multidisciplinary team, delivering strategic workforce plans, and embedding best-practice HR processes while ensuring

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary HR teams and fostering collaboration.
Experience implementing better practice HR services, payroll and recruitment.
Ability to translate workforce trends into strategic advice for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Lead and embed better practice HR services across Capability, Recruitment, Payroll and Workforce Reporting.
Establish governance, policies and reporting frameworks for the HR portfolio.
Oversee HR functions to ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
Lead agency-wide workforce planning and capability initiatives including the AER Workforce Plan.
Develop the AER capability framework, leadership and professional development initiatives.
Provide strategic workforce insights to senior stakeholders.
