Job summary

Australian Electoral Commission in Melbourne promotes a healthy and productive workforce through strategic wellbeing leadership. The Assistant Director, Wellbeing, reports to the Director of Safety, Wellbeing, Inclusion and Enterprise Bargaining and steers the development of wellbeing programs across the agency.

The role delivers psychosocial risk management, staff wellbeing initiatives and compliant return-to-work planning, aligning with APS frameworks and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and delivering workplace wellbeing, mental health and psychosocial risk management programs.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary wellbeing practices.
• Experience applying rehabilitation and employment frameworks to provide advice.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of the AEC wellbeing strategy, programs and initiatives.
• Coordinate rehabilitation, early intervention and workers’ compensation case management.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on wellbeing and workforce resilience.
• Promote safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes and positive workplace culture.
