• Extensive experience leading tourism, visitor services, policy or operational functions in a complex environment.
• Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to influence outcomes and deliver sustainable visitor and tourism outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the Tourism, Experience and Visitor Services Branch.
• Lead tourism, visitor services, business enterprises, booking systems, interpretation and engagement, content and partnership functions across Tasmania’s parks and reserves.
• Drive sustainable tourism opportunities and visitor experiences that align with conservation and protection objectives.
• Build partnerships with government, Aboriginal communities, industry, community groups and other stakeholders.
• Provide high-level strategic advice to the Deputy Secretary, Secretary and Ministers on tourism, visitor services and related policy matters.
• Overseeing strategic initiatives including tourism planning, commercial opportunities, visitor services and revenue strategy.
