Job summary

C&K Oonoonba Community Kindergarten invites a Director/Teacher to lead our play-based program in Idalia, QLD. You will create a safe, inclusive learning environment for children and families, while collaborating with a supportive team and community partners.

This permanent part-time role offers a 5-day fortnight, term-time holidays and generous benefits. You will hold relevant teaching credentials, safety certifications and Blue Card compliance to thrive in our village of educators.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved bachelor’s in early childhood education.
• National safety training foundations and advanced certificates.
• Current first aid and CPR certifications required.
• Blue Card or exemption and police check are mandatory.
• Familiarity with NQF, NQS and EYLF guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead our play-based kindergarten program with a safe, inclusive environment.
• Foster strong partnerships with families and the community.
• Support children’s learning and development through engaging activities.
• Ensure compliance with child safety policies and regulatory requirements.

As our highly valued Director/Teacher at C&K Oonoonba, you’ll lead a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment for children, their families and our wider community. • Enjoy a 5-day fortnight, working 7.5 hours every Thursday and Friday, plus alternate Wednesdays

• An ACECQA-approved Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
• Completed National Child Safety Training Foundation and Advanced Certificates (Courses 1–5)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card
• Current Police Check
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline
