• Relevant education, training and/or extensive experience leading an integrated strategic partnerships function in a large and complex organisation.
• Significant experience in university engagement ecosystems including research, innovation, education, WIL, philanthropy and industry collaboration.
• Demonstrated success managing strategic relationships and portfolios; including opportunities to enhance organisational value through partnerships.
• Established network of senior industry, government and corporate relationships to attract partners and opportunities.
• Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams through change and transformation.
• Strong strategic, analytical and decision-making capabilities with use of insights and evaluation.
• Experience with CRM platforms and partnership intelligence systems.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the University's strategic partnership portfolio and drive delivery of partnership outcomes.
• Oversee engagement lifecycle, governance and performance across faculties, divisions and external organisations.
• Collaborate to translate institutional priorities into coordinated action and drive continuous improvement.
• Support governance and leverage networks to attract partners, speakers and opportunities of strategic value.

Who are we looking for?

The Director, Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Engagement leads the operational delivery, performance and continuous improvement of QUT's strategic partnership function.

The position is responsible for leading the University's strategic partnership portfolio, ensuring effective attraction, relationship stewardship, institutional coordination and delivery of partnership outcomes through the Engagement Portfolio.

Working collaboratively with faculties, divisions and external organisations, the Director translates institutional partnership priorities into coordinated action, supports partnership governance and performance, and drives operational excellence across the partnership lifecycle.

What You Need To Succeed

• Relevant education, training and/or extensive experience leading an integrated strategic partnerships function in a large and complex organisation, including setting strategic direction, operating models and capability priorities.
• Significant experience in university engagement ecosystems, including research, innovation, education, WIL, philanthropy and industry collaboration.
• Demonstrated success managing strategic relationships and portfolios; including opportunities to enhance organisational value through partnerships.
• An established network of senior industry, government and corporate relationships, with demonstrated ability to leverage these networks to attract partners, speakers and opportunities of strategic value to a large organisation
• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale organisational initiatives and transformation programs.
• Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams through change and transformation, with accountability for people, culture, financial management, capability development and the adoption of innovative and technology-enabled ways of working.
• Highly developed strategic, analytical and decision-making capabilities, including the use of insights, performance measurement and evaluation to inform organisational planning, demonstrate impact and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience working with CRM platforms and partnership intelligence systems; knowledge of Queensland's industry, government and innovation ecosystem.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
