Job summary

The Director - Strategic Communications at the Cancer Institute NSW leads high-level strategic communications for the Executive Leadership team. You will shape reputational strategy, manage stakeholder engagement, and ensure clear messaging across programs.

You will oversee a multidisciplinary communications team to develop and execute strategies and deliver high-quality materials. This permanent role requires full working rights in Australia and offers a collaborative, inclusive workplace.

About the Opportunity

The Director - Strategic Communications provides high level strategic advice to the Cancer Institute NSW Executive Leadership and teams across the organisation to build and maintain the reputation and credibility of the Institute.

The role oversees a multidisciplinary team of communications professionals to develop and execute communications strategies and develop high-quality communications materials.

  • Describe the most significant leadership challenge you have faced as a communications leader. What was the situation, what decisions did you make, how did you bring your team through the challenge, and what was the outcome?
