The University of Sydney’s Charles Perkins Centre seeks a Project Officer, Digital Communications to drive the Centre’s digital presence. You will develop content across digital, social media, website and video channels, supporting the strategy refresh and engaging a broad audience.

You will work with stakeholders across the Centre to uplift digital engagement, review the strategy, and deliver high-quality communications across multiple channels.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience producing engaging digital and social media content for diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of digital communications, social media trends and audience engagement strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using content management systems, digital platforms and analytics tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

  • Base Salary $107,312 - $115,686 (HEO6) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity

The University of Sydney is seeking a Project Officer, Digital Communications to join the Charles Perkins Centre (CPC), a globally prestigious multidisciplinary initiative dedicated to tackling society's greatest health challenges in diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease and other related conditions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and digitally savvy communications professional to help shape and deliver the Centre's digital and social media strategy during a period of strategic transformation, with the possibility of extension subject to funding and business needs.

You will work closely with the Communications Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Academic Director and key stakeholders across the Centre to develop engaging content, strengthen digital engagement, and identify innovative opportunities across a broad range of communication publication styles, including social media, web, video and emerging platforms. A key focus of the role is reviewing and uplifting the Centre's digital communications approach as part of a broader strategic refresh.

  • strong understanding of digital communications, social media trends and audience engagement strategies
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • experience using content management systems, digital platforms and analytics tools
  • strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, a diverse group of key stakeholders and build strong working relationships
  • previous experience within a large multifaceted organisation and/or a research organisation is highly desirable but not essential.
