Australian Capital Territory Government's Infrastructure Planning group is seeking a Director – Standards and Specifications in the Technical Services Unit, Infrastructure Planning. The role updates CED Municipal Infrastructure Standards, Specifications and Standard Drawings and provides authoritative technical advice to support planning outcomes.

Details: Infrastructure Planning delivers core technical asset management functions that guide the planning, prioritisation and governance of City Presentation and Roads ACT assets.
Key outputs across Infrastructure Planning include the development of funding submissions, preparation of strategic correspondence, and provision of authoritative technical advice to support infrastructure planning outcomes. The branch comprises specialist teams responsible for standards and technical advice, long-term asset planning, capital works prioritisation, and targeted open space and active travel initiatives.
The Director, Standards and Specifications, will be required to work closely with a variety of subject matter experts to update CED Municipal Infrastructure Standards, Specifications and relevant Standard Drawings. The position will also be required to provide technical advice on infrastructure projects.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 3 September 2027. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements, may be considered upon application.
