Job summary

McGrathNicol is a leading independent professional services firm specialising in restructuring, deals and advisory services. The Opportunity invites you to join the Restructuring team to restore stability and maximise value for clients facing financial distress across diverse sectors.

You will manage significant parts of engagements, lead junior team members, and deliver high-quality analyses, cash flow modelling and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated technical knowledge and professional services experience.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and manage junior team members and deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Well-developed commercial acumen to understand client issues and offer value-added solutions.
• High professionalism, discretion and judgement when handling confidential matters.
• University degree in Business or Commerce; CA ANZ membership highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage significant components of restructuring and advisory engagements, including day-to-day delivery, resourcing and financial management.
• Apply market, industry and technical knowledge to identify issues, risks and opportunities and provide practical solutions.
• Ensure quality control across engagements to meet standards and partner expectations.
• Perform and oversee complex financial and commercial analyses to support recommendations (cash flow modelling, scenario analysis, valuations).
• Design, build and review financial models, reporting and information protocols for restructuring outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality client service and develop long-term client relationships.
• Lead, coach and develop junior team members and provide structured feedback.
