Job summary

RWE Renewables Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking a Head of Project Engineering Australia to lead regional engineering across onshore wind, solar PV, battery storage and hybrid projects. The role oversees the project lifecycle from development to COD, ensuring optimal design, cost efficiency and alignment with RWE standards.

You will head a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with development, grid, procurement and construction, and embed safety and environmental considerations in all design work.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years’ project engineering experience in renewable energy.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience across development, construction and COD.
• Experience with BoP engineering and energy yield assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Engineering function in Australia and manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Coach and mentor the engineering team.
• Deliver engineering support across the full project lifecycle.
• Optimise plant design, energy yield and cost efficiency.
• Prepare scopes of work and technical specifications for large procurement.
• Collaborate with global engineering functions to align with RWE standards.
• Embed health, safety and environmental requirements in design activities.
