Job summary
Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) in Docklands, VIC, seeks a Director, People and Culture to lead strategic workforce initiatives, drive change and shape a high‑performing, inclusive workplace. You will partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to guide governance and cultures that support safety and learning outcomes.
As a trusted adviser, you will champion contemporary people practises, enterprise bargaining readiness and dynamic workforce analytics to enable informed decisions
Qualifications
- Senior leadership experience in People & Culture with ability to drive organisation wide strategies.
- Track record of leading complex change, workforce transformation and cultural improvement.
- Strong employee relations expertise, including enterprise bargaining and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver VIT’s People and Culture strategy aligned with priorities.
- Drive organisational transformation, workforce planning and capability development.
- Foster an inclusive, high‑performing, safe culture through leadership development and succession planning.
- Provide strategic oversight of employee and industrial relations matters including EBAs.
- Strengthen governance, analytics and HR systems for informed decision making.
- Lead and develop the People and Culture team with accountability and continuous improvement.
