Job summary

Department-of-Energy,-Environment-and-Climate-Action is seeking a Project Director, Transaction, to lead Victoria's first offshore wind auction. Reporting to the Director, Investment and Sector Development, you will coordinate a high-performing team, manage procurement activities, probity, risk and commercial outcomes to deliver a fair and robust process.

This fixed-term role, based in East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements, offers a rare opportunity to shape energy infrastructure

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading major infrastructure transactions, procurements or commercial projects.
• Strong project leadership skills across large multi-disciplinary programs.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability with senior executives and partners.
• Sound commercial judgement, procurement probity and governance knowledge.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end offshore wind auction transaction process from planning to delivery.
• Oversee procurement activities, probity, risk and commercial outcomes to ensure fairness and robustness.
• Manage a high-performing team and engage with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Coordinate with Government and industry partners to align objectives and delivery timelines.
