Job summary

National Rugby League seeks a Head of Technology Programs and Services to lead the technology portfolio, align investment to business priorities and deliver major programs in a senior leadership role. You will partner with Product and business leaders to translate strategy into clear roadmaps and delivery plans.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in technology leadership roles, including portfolios and major programs.
• Experience governing significant technology investments and executive decisions.
• Strong leadership with a track record of developing teams and capability.
• Experience establishing portfolio strategy, governance and benefits realization approaches.
• Proven ability managing large programs with budgets, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgets, vendors and partners.
• Understanding of modern tech environments across software, data and digital services.
• Experience driving AI, automation and modern delivery with governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NRL's technology portfolio, roadmap, investment planning and prioritisation.
• Provide executive oversight of major technology programs, managing scope, budget, timelines, risks and dependencies.
• Partner with Product and business leaders to translate priorities into technology programs and delivery plans.
• Lead portfolio governance, investment decision-making and executive reporting.
• Set technology direction across software, data, integration and technology services.
• Oversee technology service performance, lifecycle management, resilience and operations.
• Manage technology budgets, forecasts, suppliers and strategic vendor relationships.
• Build organisational capability through workforce planning and leadership development.
• Champion AI, automation and modern delivery approaches with governance.
• Maintain oversight of technology, delivery, commercial and operational risks.
