Job description

Our client is seeking an accomplished Director of Technology for a renowned platform to lead its Business Technology function through significant change following an M&A integration agenda, based in Sydney or Melbourne.

This is a broad technology leadership mandate spanning managing engineering, data, and integrations across CRM, key SaaS business applications, enterprise platforms, billing, finance systems, and EUC / IT operations. You will be accountable for maintaining operational stability while leading the migration of local platforms to global capabilities. This role requires the ability to zoom in and out of the tech while developing future-state operating approaches.

The Role

• Lead an integrated Business Technology function responsible for several business-critical platforms & services.
• Maintain platform stability, service reliability, incident response, business continuity and vendor performance throughout the transition
• Lead complex platform migrations, including sequencing, governance, risk management, cutover planning and operational readiness
• Balance immediate business and operational requirements with the longer-term global technology roadmap
• Influence platform, architecture & delivery decisions to ensure local requirements, risks and customer impacts are properly represented
• Establish a clear transformation narrative & rhythm across technology, business, vendor & stakeholder groups
• Drive adoption of new systems, processes & ways of working
• Design future operating model, capability requirements and workforce structures
• Maintain team engagement, clarity & delivery momentum through ambiguity and organisational change

You will bring

• Proven experience leading a complex Business Technology function spanning multiple enterprise platforms, including Salesforce & ERP Platforms
• Direct experience leading an M&A integration, global platform migration, & technology consolidation
• Strong change leadership, across communications, organisational readiness, & adoption of new ways of working
• The ability to operate credibly at both executive & technical levels
• A strong understanding of systems, architecture, integrations, data, vendors & operational risk
• Strong influencing & relationship management skills across business leaders, global stakeholders, vendors and technical teams
• A tertiary qualification in technology, business, information systems or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
