Job summary

National Rugby League looks for a Systems Engineer to design, implement and maintain the infrastructure underpinning its digital ecosystem. You will work across cloud and on‑prem environments, ensuring security, scalability and high availability for platforms used by fans, players and partners.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration or a similar technical role.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience managing hybrid infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Strong networking, systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, identity and access management, and security best practices.
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and vendor management skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset and passion for emerging technologies.

About the role

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure that underpins the NRL's digital ecosystem. You will work across cloud, networking, systems, telecommunications and security technologies, ensuring our platforms remain secure, scalable and highly available. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, driving infrastructure modernisation and supporting critical technology services used by millions of fans, participants and partners.
