Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and review of organisational strategy and strategic plans.
• Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Team and Board on risks, opportunities and policy developments.
• Monitor political, regulatory and sector trends and their impact on priorities and reporting.
• Provide strategic leadership in the planning, regulatory and governance requirements for project delivery.
• Represent the agency in strategic areas, engaging with regulators and key stakeholders.
• Manage forward planning for the Board, including agendas, paper preparation and action tracking.
• Lead the delivery of key corporate documents and reporting including the Annual Report and Corporate Plan.
• Coordinate reporting and meeting planning for project committees and governance groups; identify risks and escalation items.
• Support project planning and coordination with strategic oversight over reporting, progress and planning risks.
• Lead internal and external communications strategies to enhance community and stakeholder engagement and access to information.
• Oversee media, public relations, corporate communications and crisis communications activities.
• Develop communication plans for major strategic initiatives and organisational change.
• Coordinate and track stakeholder engagement across government, regulators, industry partners, community groups and staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, ministers, offices and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate government submissions, briefings, correspondence, reporting and parliamentary responses.
• Support advocacy and stakeholder engagement aligned with organisational priorities.
• Support CEO and ELT in fostering a positive, delivery-focused culture; coach and influence teams as needed.
