Job summary

Monash Health is seeking a Director of Medical Services, Quality, Safety and Improvement to lead Victoria's largest health service in delivering safer, higher quality, person-centred care. Qualifications

• Current registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA and fellowship of an appropriate medical specialist college.
• Extensive senior medical leadership experience within a large and complex health service.
• Expertise in clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement and organisational change.
• Experience leading organisation-wide improvement initiatives with demonstrable outcomes.
• Strong capability in using clinical outcomes, safety and performance data to drive decision making and improvement.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A passion for innovation, organisational learning and developing cultures of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across a diverse portfolio including clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement and medicolegal services.
• Influence care at scale by strengthening safety culture and translating insights into lasting improvements for patients, consumers and staff.
