Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking a Clinical Safety and Quality Lead to strengthen clinical governance and support the safe growth of our Care at Home services, including expansion beyond hospital settings.

You will work with clinicians and leaders to develop policies, review incidents, support accreditation, and build a culture of safety, quality and consumer-centred care across our national health network.

Qualifications

• Strong written communication skills; ability to prepare clear documentation, reports and resources.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and subject matter experts in quality improvement activities.
• Proven organisational skills; manage multiple governance and improvement projects to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review and implementation of clinical and operational policies, procedures and guidelines for services.
• Facilitate workshops with clinicians to develop practical documentation.
• Coordinate documentation approval, implementation and ongoing review to improve usability and standardisation.
• Support clinical governance across new and existing services, embedding safety and risk considerations.
• Review incidents for quality and escalation; coordinate reviews with teams and partner hospitals.
• Contribute to incident investigations, audits, risk assessments and assurance activities.
