Job summary

Assumption College Kilmore is seeking an experienced Director of ICT to lead strategic development and operations of ICT across the College, commencing January 2027. The role reports to the Business Manager and collaborates with the College Leadership Team to drive infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital learning initiatives.

You will demonstrate proven ICT leadership, knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies, with the ability to lead large-scale technology

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT or related field; education sector preferred.
• Proven ICT leadership and project delivery experience.
• Ability to obtain Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check; knowledge of privacy and data governance.

Job description

Assumption College is a vibrant Marist community located just 30 minutes north of Melbourne's northern suburbs. The College is recognised for its innovative and engaging approach to contemporary learning and student wellbeing. We educate more than 1,500 students from Years 7 to 12 and provide boarding accommodation for up to 70 students

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of ICT to lead the strategic development, management and innovation of information and communication technologies across the College, commencing in January 2027.

Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the College Leadership Team, the Director of ICT will provide strategic leadership and operation oversight of all ICT services, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity and digital learning initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in ICT leadership, strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies. You will be able to lead large scale technology projects with excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements for the role include:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or, proven experience preferably in an education environment
• Demonstrated experience in ICT management and leadership
• Current Working with Children Check (Victoria) or ability to obtain one & National Police Check or ability to obtain one.
• Understanding of privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance requirements
